About
Welcome! You’ve stumbled onto the vanity site for Chris Fairfield (that’s me!). This site is the home of my personal blog, where I post life updates and write about topics that I’m passionate about. You can also find my puzzle game review blog, where I post reviews of the various puzzle games and escape rooms I play through. On the gaming page you can find a few gaming-related pages that are mostly intended for the gaming groups I play with. I’ve got more content planned for the site in the future, so keep any eye out for that.
About Me
I’m a queer gaming nerd (he/him) in my early 40’s living in Seattle, WA. I grew up in a small town in Central Illinois and spent most of my adult life in Champaign-Urbana, IL, a wonderful community that’s home to the state’s flagship university. In case it wasn’t obvious from the content on the site, I’m a big fan of gaming in all of its forms, especially as a medium for socializing and storytelling. In addition to puzzle games, I play a lot of board games, video games, and roleplaying games.
Puzzle Game Reviews
I launched my Puzzle Game Review blog in March 2021 when I realized I had fallen down the puzzle game rabbit-hole and wanted to better document the games I’d been playing. I intentionally don’t rate the games on a star-rating or point basis because these types of game experiences are inherently subjective and what works for me, may not work for you. Instead, I try to summarize my experience with the game, what I thought about the narrative and puzzle elements, and try to give as universal of a recommendation as I can.
